'Sathsara Rangana 2009' a fundraising event organised by the BCCL was held at Plinston Hall, Letchworth on the 01 November 2009 with a warm community gathering. The first part of the event was devoted for children to stage their talents. There were 13 brilliant performances presented by talented children which were evaluated by the audience and voted to choose the three best performances. All children participated with great enthusiasm and showed the 'seed' of professionalism in dancing, singing, playing instruments and drama. Each participant received a certificate and a trophy for their excellence.
The second session was filled with classical songs by Malwatte family of musicians and Roshan Jayakody and his team; Dhanushka Thilakarathna (Acoustic guitar and Muditha Thushani Somarathna (Dancing). The program was compeered by Asiri Bandara and Aravinda Pathirathne. Venerable Sasthrapathi Pinaagoda Rahula Thero, the chief incumbent of Windsor Temple, Canada was the chief guest and Venerable Nahalle Rahula Thero welcomed the crowd who gathered from all the parts of the country.
